Senior Accountant I

Department / Location: Finance / Corporate Office Reports To: Director of Accounting Duties: Assist in the preparation of the Company's internal financial statements, including the month reporting to Senior Management and stores. Responsible for analyzing and maintaining account analysis reports that are provided to Senior Management. Budget and related variance analysis of various accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis. Assist in the monthly closing process by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. Special projects as assigned. Successful Candidate Requirements: Excellent communication and technical computer skills CPA preferredExperience: 1-3 years of experience Public accounting experience preferred PeopleSoft General Ledger experience preferredEducation: BS in accounting Dick's Sporting Goods, Inc. is an authentic full-line sporting goods retailer offering a broad assortment of brand name sporting goods equipment, apparel, and footwear in a specialty store environment.
