Job Description: SALES MANAGER

 

Reports to:  Store Manager

 

Supervises:  Design Team Members, Product Specialists

 

Pay: Base $30,000 + Commissions + Monthly Bonuses + Full Benefits (including 401K) + Store Benefits

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

SALESAchieves proficiency in each selling category. Achieves monthly and annual sales goals by leading the Product Specialist and Design Team members.Conducts new-hire and on-going training for all sales associates.Completes quarterly performance appraisals on all sales associates.Coaches sales team members on individual statistics including sales by category, sales by hour and…Assigns all new-hire Product Specialist their product category.Conducts training meeting on Mondays.Sets individual goals for Design Team members.Administers product knowledge tests for all Product Specialist.Monitors sales orders for margin and deposit exceptions.Runs weekly and monthly sales contests.Communicates advertising promotion to sales staff.Updates traffic count/closing ratio sheet and faxes to General Manager weekly.Anticipates gaps in sales staff and contacts Human Resource Manager to place recruiting advertising.  Interviews and completes reference checks and sends strong candidates to Store Manager for 2nd interview.

 

CUSTOMER SERVICEResponsible for all layaways and deferred delivery sales for timeliness on part of the customer.Takes all customer service calls regarding “perception� or problems generated by the fault of a sales associate.Handles customer cancellations and exchanges.

 

MiscAble to perform all functions of Store Manager in their absence.Responsible to turn in hours and bonuses for sales associates to H/R Manager.Works with Merchandising Department to maintain store displays and cleanliness throughout the store.Responsible for all new-hire paperwork completion and transfer to corporate office.
