Description As a Dick's Sporting Goods Sales Manager you will be responsible for achieving company objectives in sales performance, profit contribution and profit and loss control by overseeing the operational aspects of the Softlines, Hardlines or Sales Support areas of the store. We are always looking for talented Sales Managers in the following areas: Hardlines Softlines/ Apparel Sales Support Essential functions of this position include: Developing schedules for the assigned departments and monitoring payroll on a daily basis to ensure payroll plans are met Managing the sales performance of the assigned departments to meet sales and margin goals Upholding Company standards for merchandise presentation Participating in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring for hourly and salaried associates for the assigned area Issuing appropriate counseling and disciplinary action to those associates who fail to meet our performance standards Ensuring compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention and cash handling procedures Success Profile Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal/communication skills Strong problem solving ability and analytical skills Good attention to detail Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays Ability to meet Federal requirements for handling and processing firearm transactions Proficiency in MSOffice 3- 5 years of retail or related management experience Compensation Competitive starting salary Quarterly and annual bonus programs Annual performance reviews 401k program with immediate participation - company match after one year of service Employee stock purchase program Benefits Medical and Dental insurance available date of hire Company paid life insurance Supplemental life insurance Dependent life insurance Company paid short-term and long-term disability 2 weeks paid vacation (pro-rated during first calendar year of employment) Paid personal days Merchandise discounts Adoption assistance Paternity leave To Apply for this position, please CLICK HERE EOE Click here to see all "Dick's Sporting Goods" opportunities Send this Job to a Friend
