Sales Category Manager

This position holds dual roles at The Home Depot in both sales/account management for Thompson's and category management responsibilities for Minwax & Thompson's brands. It is critical to establish a close, positive relationship with the merchant teams, logistics and support people at The Home Depot general office due to the uniqueness of the position.This individual  will be accountable for performing category analysis for both Minwax & Thompson's brands at The Home Depot.  This role will entail analysis through the use of customer-specific POS data and/or syndicated data sources, analyzing performance of Home Depot merchandising strategies and making recommendations on improvements to current planograms & merchandising strategies to better service our overall market share & profitability. Account management responsibilities consist of being accountable for the sales & profit responsibility for Thompson's at The Home Depot.  The incumbent will establish effective account strategies and priorities, manage business goals & sales, new product introductions, gross margin/profit, and be the main customer contact for the Thompson's brand.  Must stay well informed of the brands/products -- both ours and our competitors.  Minimum of 3 years category management experience to include budgets,forecasts, financial resource management.  Prior sales/account management in addition to the category analysis experience would be considered a plus and is preferred.  Exceptional oral and written presentation skills & the ability to prioritize/manage multiple projects at once.   We are a Fortune 500 company that offers a competitive salary and incentive program, and great benefits.  The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field (MBA preferred)We appreciate all inquiries, but can only respond to those we feel are most qualified.  For confidential consideration, please send resume to Karen Runstedler, Manager at http://resume.sherwin-williams.com/internet_check.cfm?req_id=9434We are an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/H/V.
