SENIOR AUDITOR Senior Auditor, International audit, is a new position in the corporate internal audit department to address a lack of audit coverage of international subsidiaries.  the senior auditor will assist the director and manager with audit activities for all international locations.  The senior will assist with all phases of audit work including planning/risk assessment, fieldwork and report writing.    •  Independently performs all phases of audit work including planning/risk assessment, fieldwork and reporting. •  Understands and clearly documents business processes in order to develop audit objectives •  Determines and clearly documents operational / financial risks •  Determines and clearly documents internal controls in place, and designs detailed audit programs to test controls •  Identifies control gaps •  Obtains facts and other concrete evidence to support conclusions •  Clearly and thoroughly documents all audit work and conclusions via a well organized set of work papers •  Writes clear and concise audit reports, including observations, recommendations and management responses •  Ensures audit recommendations are tracked and implemented in a timely manner •  Keeps local management informed of audit status •  Maintains frequent communication with the director of international audit •  Stays well informed of company objectives, initiatives, problems, etc. and adjusts the audit plan accordingly •  Develops and maintains a network of working relationships with all levels of company management, and is committed to continually satisfying internal audit's customers. •  Maintains an understanding of the retail industry, including business trends, corporate governance issues, etc. •  Requires a minimum of 35-40% international travel   •  Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or other appropriate major, MBA is preferrred •  Minimum of three (3) years audit experience (public or private) •  Excellent written, verbal, analytical and inter-personal skills •  Professional certification (CPA) is strongly recommended •  Working knowledge of coso and sarbanes-oxley 404 •  Retail, oracle, hyperion, lease accoutning experience all a plus!   Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 50%
