SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Primarily responsible for preparation, reconciliation and review of Nine West Corporate and International Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts. Compile and analyze financial information and insure the accuracy of accounts. Coordinate month end closes by the booking of journal entries to the general ledger and validating the accuracy of financial reports.Compile and analyze financial information for preparation of monthly journal entries to Corporate and International P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.Reconciliation of detail to General Ledger for Corporate and International accounts.Review and analyze profit and loss accounts for significant variances and report to senior management as part of close process.? Communication with Department heads to insure proper recording of expenses to cost centers.? Responsible for month end close process for Corporate and International.? Special projects as assigned.functions.? Problem solving and independent thinking? Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments with close attention to detailEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ? B.S or BA in Accounting? Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience required? Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access? J.D. Edwards G/L Package and Hyperion experience a plusLANGUAGE SKILLS: ?
