Lands' End is a multi-channel retailer offering products through specialty catalogs, the Internet, and retail stores. With over 40 years of experience, Lands' End is world renowned for superior customer service and is recognized as an innovator in the industry.As a SAS Programmer, you will directly impact the business by generating consumer insights that guide key tactical and strategic decisions. You will be on the forefront of efforts to use new innovative methods to generate insights that will help Lands' End achieve our business objectives.Specifically, you will join other SAS Programmers and Business Analysts who support the marketing staff by extracting, summarizing, and analyzing information used for model development, strategic analyses, and reporting. Responsibilities include understanding the key business questions, developing technical specifications, coding, testing, and implementing often-complex, but easy-to-maintain SAS programs. You will provide insights and communicate recommended actions that directly support marketing decisions. You will identify, design and implement changes that improve efficiency and reliability of SAS programs and systems, as well as provide design and programming support in the development of new business processes.QualificationsSuccessful candidates will have previous demonstrated ability in the following areas:· Advanced SAS (including macro programming and ODS) and SQL programming experience· Experience with UNIX, Windows, IBM mainframe preferred · Experience working with large databases· Bachelors or associate degree in business or other quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics), or equivalent work experience· Direct marketing experience preferred· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal· Analytical and problem-solving skillsThis position may be filled at varying levels, depending on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.
