Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager for our new store at Bridgewater Commons opening November, 2008!  Hanna Andersson features high quality children's and family apparel. The Store Manager is responsible for daily operation of store including customer service, staffing and merchandising. Responsible for developing strong associate morale and a positive work environment.


Essential Functions

Set standard of excellent customer service on selling floor and through training of Assistant Manager and sales staff.

Achieve sales goals, profit and loss prevention goals as identified on store annual budget, with the assistance of District Manager.

Plan and coordinate effective communication with District Manager, Assistant Managers and sales staff.

Ensure staffing follows store budget and is adequate to maintain high level of customer service.

Provide individualized coaching/development and counseling for all staff members, including annual performance evaluations.

Provide strong leadership by creating a positive work environment.

Maintain and support Hanna Andersson values and policies.

Ensures store presentation is consistent with company standards.

Supervise staff of up to 12, including Assistant Manager.

Position RequirementsMinimum 5 years in retail environment, with at least 2 years in retail managementRefined communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.Successful supervisory experience managing a retail sales staff.Understanding of inventory processes, merchandising and promotional techniques, and customer service standards.Ability to work extended daily and weekend hours as business dictates.Basic computer experience preferred.Ability to move or handle merchandise generally weighing 0-25 pounds.
