Retail Merchandise Allocation Manager

We are currently searching for an experienced Merchandise Manager that embodies a passion for cards, gifts, and notes. The position of Dedicated Merchandise Analyst will be a partner generating and analyzing statistical data for one of Family Christian Stores’ key, strategic suppliers DaySpring. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Ensure the product flow and allocation to stores adhering to set lead times, profiles, and display minimums as directed by FCS buyer · Act as chief liaison representing DaySpring for communication between buyers, supplier, distribution centers, and stores· Be proactive on data analysis- specifically to store SKU levels· Monitor the sales against allocation, which includes reviewing stock analysis· Accurately project product commitment to prevent lost sales· Review sales tracking weekly with buyers and Sr. Merchandise Manager · Plan, manage, and execute all allocations to the store level· Enter and verify everyday pricing and discounts in reference to promotional pricing according to DaySpring’s promotional plans· Ensure product purchase plans meet the needs of stores based on their sales performance. · Produce accurate reports as needed for inventory/vendor analysis· Partner in the budget process as driven by Sr. Buyer· Manage confidential corporate information appropriately Knowledge, abilities, and educational requirements for this role: · At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in merchandise and/or allocation analysis within a specialty retail organization preferred· Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities · Excellent planning, organizational, coordination and time management skills· Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously· Proven track record of strong, positive, interpersonal and communication skills · Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and MS Outlook required · Experience with AS/4000 system is preferred Family Christian Stores offers a comprehensive medical, dental, and vision package, life insurance, 401K matching program, flexible spending accounts, competitive vacation package, and more.
