Retail Manager

Mercy Medical Center, a 476-bed acute care faith based hospital located in Canton, Ohio has a full-time opportunity for a results-oriented Retail Manager.

The primary responsibility for this position is to build sales while enhancing profitability.  This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to motivate and manage a team of paid and volunteer staff, analyze current and forecast future sales figures to maximize profitability.  Will analyze and interpret trends, develop annual business plans for all shops, while ensuring customer satisfaction by promptly responding to inquiries and complaints.  Will implement new initiatives to remain current with retail trends and local competitors.

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required.

A minimum of five years as a retail manager and a minimum of two years as a buyer of

merchandise for a retail organization desired. Requires extensive knowledge of inventory

management, merchandising and revenue enhancement.  Three to five years of developing/supervising customer service programs required.  Proven ability to grow revenue while improving profitability.  Scheduling, training and employee development experience required.  Flexibility is a must – days, evenings, weekends, and some Holidays may be required.
