To learn more about Mosaic, visit our website at: www.mosaic.com  Mosaic, a national field marketing company, is currently seeking an outstanding individual for the temporary position of QA Tester.  This is a full-time TEMPORARY position on our Software Testing team - working within our Business Intelligence organization in Information Technology. Under the direction of the QA /CM Manager and working closely with the development team, the selected individual will collaborate in the definition, design, and implementation of test plans, test cases and test scripts to test and qualify our software systems. Individual will work closely with other key members of the team to execute test cases and document test plans. This position is targeted to be 4 months in duration.Responsibilities: - Work under the direction of the QA /CM Manager during the test planning, implementation and reporting phases of test development and test execution - Participate in the development test plans - Designing, implementing and executing test scripts that address component and system level testing - Performing regression testing, stress testing, capacity testing and functional testing - Must be able to work independently and effectively across different groups - Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under conditions of ambiguity and incomplete information - Excellent writing and oral communication skills - Self motivated and able to work in an independent manner - Able to work in a fast pace deadline driven environment Key Qualifications: - Minimum 1-3 years experience performing test on Data Warehouse projects and reporting - Strong problem-solving skills, which include the ability to research issues to make an informed decision - Proficiency with computer science practices and theory - Excellent time management, decision-making and organizational skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required - Prefer test experience with Data Transformation tools — will perform user testing, integration testing, test data transformation backend as well as user (front end) - Ability to develop use cases and test cases from requirements - Experience organizing and executing test cases across multiple configurations - Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks - Solid knowledge of anomaly (defect) and internal change request authoring, tracking, and validation - Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques, especially on data warehouses and data marts - Experience using Mercury Interactive Testing tools including: Test Director, WinRunner, a plus - Strong experience writing MS SQL queries, a plus - Exposure to Business Objects and other Business Intelligence tools, a plusTechnical Requirements: -  2+ years Microsoft SQL 2000 / SQL 2005 querying -  Extensive interaction with computer systems and analytical tools such as SQL server -  Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as SAS, SQL Server and Business Objects, a plus -  Data warehousing background/experience in any capacity, a plusAbout Our Company: Mosaic provides people, technology, and analytics to support the sales and marketing of world-class brands that you know and use every day.  Our clients are fortune 500 companies with high expectations and forward-thinking philosophies.  Together as a TEAM we deliver for them every day.  Mosaic ranked among the “Top 100 U.S. Marketing Services Agencies” in 2007 as published in Advertising Age, and was voted “ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO WORK” in 2006 by The Dallas Business Journal.
