Purchasing/Logistics Manager

Logistics/Purchasing ManagerSimple Floors, Inc. is looking for the unique individual who wants to manage all purchasing and logistics responsibilities for our rapidly expanding company. In three years we have grown to $30million in revenues, with aggressive growth plans for the coming years. This individual must be willing to work in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment. They must be enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated, result-oriented, friendly, professional and well organized to be successful in this rapidly growing retail organization. The successful candidate will have effective communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Position Overview:       Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction processes Manage the daily and monthly purchasing activities Negotiate all Contracts with vendors including the review and retention of contracts Provide accurate and timely information to the CFO

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

Inventory and Pricing Supervise/perform all functions of inventory and pricing utilizing our ERP system including the following processes: Item Master, Re-Order Points, Transaction Processing, Cost and Quantity Adjustments, Cycle Counts and Physical Inventory Review item master setup and make changes, as needed, throughout the year, including, but not limited to, the review of sales and cost of sales account strings for accurate financial reporting Assist in month-end close process including completion/review of month-end account reconciliations and review of journal entries and related support Develop other analyses, as requested including analysis on cost of good sales, inventory turnover, inventory aging analysis including reserve analysis, adjustments/write offs and other key metrics Actively maintain relationship with all vendors  and inventory warehouse locations Maintain accurate costing of inventory; conduct periodic inventory cost testing to validate accuracy Conduct pricing changes to ensure that the pricing e reflects the most current and accurate pricing; make changes accordingly

Purchasing Manage competitive bidding process; Resolve purchasing discrepancies;

Other Continuously look for ways to improve workflow, efficiency and streamline processes including internal control procedures Other projects as assigned by management

 

Skills and Education Required: Bachelors degree Knowledge of purchasing and logistics “Best Practices� Strong knowledge of MS office 4-6 years related experience Strong project management skills required
