Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of large or several medium to small projects and provide a single point of contact.  Take projects from original concept through final implementation.  Define project scope and objectives. Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.  Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensure adherence to PMO quality standards and review project deliverables.  Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.  Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team.  Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.  Mentoring of project managers and active participation on PMO coalition teams may be assigned. 

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

· Establish and update project plans with actual and forecasts and manage deviations from plan and project parameters.

· Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented and vigorously pursued to deliver the final product.

· Manage portfolio of all projects within the assigned group.

· Ensure quality is achieved as planned within corporate governances.

· Deliver to time and cost within agreed tolerances.

· Obtain and mange all necessary services and resources involved with assigned projects.

· Facilitate communication to all involved, executive management through project resources, and manage stakeholder relationships, assuring overall customer satisfaction.

· Provide leadership to project team and stakeholders and apply conflict resolution skills to resolve project issues.

· Manage project risk, develop mitigation plans, and escalate decisions and unresolved issues as needed.

· Approve all appropriate project expenditures.

· Approve or recommend all required commitments.

· Ensure satisfactory transfer of “care, custody and control� of product upon completion.

· Close all project documentation and archive appropriate records and contributes to process and methodology improvement based on performance analysis and lessons learned.

· Continually self-educate, using various publications and periodicals, in order to stay current with technology and system development methodologies.

· Understand and comply with government regulations regarding work, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

·  Worked as project manager or comparable experience externally for 5-7 years. PMP certification highly recommended. IS related associate degree, or a bachelor degree, or comparable work experience in an Information Systems position or related business position.

·  Goal oriented and action-focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined.

·  Demonstrated understanding of the systems development and project management life-cycle processes involved with implementing I.T. solutions.

·  Problem solving and organizational skills are required.

·  Excel at team motivation and delegation.

·  Good oral communication and professional writing skills.

·  Understanding of the ITIL framework is a plus.

·  Passing score on a selected entry test for new hires. (Test selected based on project requirements.)

·  Satisfactory rating on previous performance review for existing employees.

·  Ability to travel as needed.
