Production Coordinator

Independently accountable for execution of orders by performing responsibilities of Product Development, Sourcing & Order Placement, Production Tracking, Delivery Follow Up. • Maintain tech pack consistency for department
• Communicating New York and Company standards with vendors overseas.
• Communicating tech packs with vendors overseas.
• Production order tracking w/O/seas vendors for on time delivery.
• Effectively communicating production Issues with vendors overseas.
• Maintaining and follow up on time and action calendar for pre-production samples, lab dips, bulk fabric approvals and lab testing.
• Coordinating production issues internally with design and merchandising depts.
• Proactively plan alternate sourcing as contingency plan.
• PO data entry
• Manage AB classification process
• Photo shoot and top sample management • Prior experience as Production Assistant with proven track record
• Ability to manage a product category from concept through development, allocation and delivery to the distribution center.
• Additional related experience working in manufacturing and sourcing with global vendors.
• Strong time management & organizational skills with CRITICAL ability to multi-task.
• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent follow-up.
• Must be proficient in word, excel and AS400.
• Must have strong internal AND external customer service mentality.
