Product Manager - Sweaters/Outerwear

Develop and execute product in line with the initial fashion concept and merchandise strategy. Specific Responsibilities: * Executes the development of key items from concept to reality for the brand image and customer profile. * Researches and identifies fabric/ wash, yarn and trim trends, specifically projecting key items and silhouettes by season. * Partners with the buyer and the production manager to insure the development of fashion forward and salable product that enhances the brand and achieves profit objectives. * Far east and domestic travel. * Financially accountable for the sales and market integration. * Interprets the fashion forecast for the businesses in the context of the merchandise line plan and customer learning, through buying samples to represent ideas or with original design or fashion tear. * Meets time requirements for each phase in the development of each item. * Adhere to Sourcing goals. * Develops product and initiates the PDM process, completing all product development portions. * Owns the hand-off of PDM package to technical designer and production manager and outlines the needs of the garment.  * Edits the line in conjunction with buyers. * Collects and maintains retail samples for use at line presentation and all concept overviews. * Creates style boards/line sheets for area of responsibility, showing silhouette and color, fabric, print or pattern options. * Provides the buyers and production manager with clear, concise, timely communication. * Participates in fit approval process for the aesthetic point of view with technical designer and production manager and does strike-off and trim approvals. Job Requirements: * 5-8 years of experience in product development or design positions for women's sportswear companies recognized as fast fashion industry leaders. * Working knowledge of Web PDM required. * Seniors must have proven leadership skills of attracting and developing talent. * A degree emphasizing design. * A successful track record demonstrating a passion for fashion and customers. * PC literate. * Understands Brand - has worked with brand recognized industry leaders. * Understands or can interpret to a moderate price point.Click here to apply for this job https://charmingshoppes.ats.talentxpress.com/cgi-bin/pm/click.cgi?job_id=253&site_id=35We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package coupled with a challenging environment.
