Produce Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience in ordering and merchandising product is essential.

Must know and understand produce department layouts including dry goods space and promo tables. Excellent communication skills; willingness to teach employees.Â Provide leadership in developing and maintaining profitable produce departments.Â Customer service oriented.

Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities

Assist in supervision and training of store produce managers. Recruit for position as necessary. Evaluate performance of store produce managers. Visit personally assigned stores regularly. Provide hands on training for produce managers and produce clerks.Â Continually train for improvement in the handling and care of product.Â Teach handling and care of product; effectively working with allocated space; merchandising techniques; etc.

Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Environmental Conditions/Physical Requirements

Frequent and extended drive time to reach stores.

Travel and overnight stays away from home are required.

Long working hours due to store hours of operation.Â May be required to lift up to 85 pounds when working with merchandise.
