Polisher (Jewelry Industry)

Responsibilities: Responsible for polishing jewelry for customers and/or manufacturing new jewelry to be sold in stores. Essential duties are: Polish and/or Lap jewelry, including rings, bracelets, pendants, etc. May be responsible for helping in cleaning and Rhodiuming of product and repairs. Maintain a high quality of control of merchandise. Ensure that Polish and/or Lapping is completed correctly, is done in a timely manner, and follows all guidelines set by Corporate. Hourly position. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience in polishing jewelry repairs. Experience in a manufacturing/production and repair environment a plus. Ability to perform and/or learn various polishing techniques, including lapping and the use of all different brushes, finishes and polish compounds. Knowledge of various metals, including gold, platinum, silver and all different assortments of finishes. Ability to sit for long periods of time and to be able to do repetitive work. Ability to see and handle small jewelry; work requires close eye contact with jewelry product. Good verbal communication skills. Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
