Position description:The Sr. Programmer/Analyst will have the primary responsibility of designing, implementing, and supporting hardware and applications within the Systems area. This individual will be responsible for assisting the Systems management and technical team in both support and project initiatives. Must possess the ability to: Participate in all levels of the Software Development Life Cycle. Participate in meetings with users to determine requirements and scope Assist in the creation of functional design deliverables Complete detailed and technical design deliverables Review detailed and technology design deliverables Identify and correct application software problems Monitor and resolve system performance issues Communicate and interact effectively with non-technical users Assist end users in resolving and identifying system issues by providing application knowledge and technical expertise Assist users through creation and execution of test plan Participate in generation of user documentation Execute tasks with little oversight. Participate in 24/7 on-call support activities
Qualifications: PeopleSoft HCM development experience, PeopleCode, Application Engines, SQRs and Crystal reports. Experience or knowledge of:PeopleSoft Integration tools, i.e.Component Interfaces and Application Messaging Training or experience with configuring PeopleSoft Workflow functionality Four year degree in Information Systems or an equivalent combination of course work and job experience. 5-7 years project implementation experience. 5-7 years application development experience. Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of management, end users, technical personnel and vendors. Excellent problem determination and resolution skills. Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Knowledge of retail industry a plus.
