Candidates outside the Grand Rapids area will be required to relocate.Our continued growth and development present opportunities to pursue dedicated, creative people to contribute to our Point of Sale development team located at our headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are looking for an individual who would enjoy the challenges in innovative retail systems and applying cutting edge technologies in our highly distributed environment. This individual requires the ability to accept an ownership role in development of our POS system and enjoy working in a high-energy team atmosphere. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for coordinating the business requirements, maintaining business and vendor relationships and project coordination for both Gas Station and Point of Sale system enhancements and applications running in our 180+ locations. This position requires the ability to project manage multiple projects of varying sizes. Ideal candidate must possess the following: Computer Science degree or equivalent experience in the area of software development; both extensive & proven experience (4+ years) in a software development environment (C/C++ preferred); successful experience with the software development lifecycle; knowledge & experience in software development methodologies; proven analytical & problem solving skills; experience in a large IT environment, with large development efforts; and demonstrated oral/written communication skills. Experience in Gas Station systems, Point of Sale systems and/or Retail development environment are both considered a plus.
