Description



Fossil is searching for a PMO Administrator to join the team. This position assists in administrating the IT project portfolio by managing the process for identifying, selecting and prioritizing projects that support corporate business strategy. This is done by facilitating decisions with the leadership team by providing data, inputs, analysis and facilitative assistance so the management team reaches prioritization conclusions and ultimately 'own' the organizational projects. The position also acts as subject matter expert in project management technology (MS EPM Suite), assisting global project personnel in effective use of the tools.

Responsibilities: Assist in recommending formal criteria for identifying, evaluating, prioritizing, selecting and approving the set of projects that form the IT project portfolio. With a management committee, administers and facilitates the portfolio management process, including oversight of documentation and periodic reviews. Works to establish a system for quantifying project benefits so that project approval decisions can be made objectively. Assist in identifying project interrelationships that will affect priority and resource allocation decisions. Working with functional and project managers, facilitates the process for collecting the project data on which portfolio decisions are based. Monitor projects in the portfolio (milestones, schedule performance, resource constraints, etc.) and give updates to executives and IT management on progress in the portfolio. With IT management, analyze the impact of the addition of new projects outside of the portfolio budgeting process cycle, including international initiatives. Develop and maintain IT Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help define and measure progress toward organizational goals. Keeping notes at project governance meetings; annotating, finalizing and managing multiple sets of notes. Create and distribute minutes and document resolution of action items. Provide proactive technology and methodology support to the Global IT project staff. Includes: Project Management Tool security role setup, SharePoint site creation, modifications to global resource pool and enterprise global settings, and server support / tuning. Create, coordinate and deliver PM training in support of Global PMO processes and tools. Customize, configure, and troubleshoot software to support project management methodology and practice, both in the US and internationally. Implement project management software using best practices and documented guidelines across US divisions and internationally. Provide training on the MS EPM applications to all groups within Fossil utilizing MS Project for planning purposes. Serve as a subject matter expert for project management processes and tools. Function with assistance as Project Manager on small projects.

Bachelors Degree Required Experience

Experience with MS Project Server 2003 and 2007.
