We encourage our employees to succeed professionally and maximize their potential by becoming part of our dynamic team.PC TECHNICIAN 1INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYSeattle, WAThe Information Technology Department has an opening for a PC Technician 1 position based in Seattle, WA.Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent education level.• 1-2 years of Retail experience preferred.• 1-3 year’s experience with retail store systems, technology systems and hardware preferred.• 1-3 year’s experience with installation and configuration of desktop and peripheral technology preferred.• Good understanding of IT hardware and install model concepts.• Basic knowledge of Windows, MS Office and related applications.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Exposure and understanding of Safeway Superior Service objectives.• Excellent problem solving skills.• Strong sense of urgency and business orientation.• Able to think strategically and conceptually while managing details.• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.• Able to work independently but also a strong team player.• Able to have flexible work schedule.• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, some twisting and turning with equipment installs.• Must have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, day, swing and evening.• Must have a good, safe driving record. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Installation of hardware and software in current retail stores as well as all new stores.• Receiving retail store equipment.• Staging retail store equipment.• Pilot installs at retail stores.• Install equipment in all retail stores.• Configuration and installation of desktop peripheral and network technologies• Return old equipment to service center.• Cleanup old equipment returned and prepares for sale.• Travel will be required with personal cars to store locations for equipment installs and at other times the travel would be to the division service center.Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.Respond to: Interested employees are encouraged to submit a resume by visiting www.safeway.com
