GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE Under general direction from the Assistant Manager, manages company directed product categories in order to meet or exceed established budgeted sales, expenses, productivity and profit goals, inclusive of the salon. Responsible for training and developing a competent cashier team that promotes quality Guest Services, product knowledge and operating standards. Manages cashier employees and reports to Assistant Manager.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions) Ensures that all ad sets, markdowns, price changes, signage organization and execution, planograms, and new product cut-ins are implemented/executed in a timely manner. Addresses section audits, over/under reporting, inventory integrity, and damages and known thefts. Manages repairs and maintenance and orders all store supplies, as needed. Facilitates and is responsible for daily store replenishment, merchandise flexing process, Key Corporate Communication execution, store cleanliness standards, physical inventory preparations, and merchandising and visual standards. Reports information related to product concerns, top sellers, inventory levels, planograms, resets, and guest comments and feedback to the Assistant Store Manager. Assists with the promotion and development ULTA sales and loyalty programs to meet or exceed goals. Manages sales floor and drives retail and salon sales by: addressing customer concerns, coaching employees, and mitigating product loss. Trains and performance manages the cashier team. Accountable for Loss Prevention Audit Operations section and meeting On Target standards. Assists with and may be responsible for open and close procedures, as needed. Ensures all company policies, standards and procedures are maintained and followed in a consistent manner.JOB SPECIFICATIONS Associates degree, 3 yrs. relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience; a concentration in merchandising preferred. 3 yrs. of progressively responsible retail management experience. Demonstrated competency in sales, products and service. Proven ability to build, develop, motivate and lead diverse teams. Thorough knowledge of retail merchandising practices. Self-motivation, exceptional communication, customer service, problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment are also essential.SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS None.WORKING CONDITIONS On a regular basis, requires the ability to: walk; reach with hands and arms; stand for a minimum of 6 – 8 hours; and lift and/or move 50 lbs. On a frequent basis, requires the ability to stoop, kneel and crouch. On an occasional basis, requires the ability to climb a ladder and balance.
