OPERATION MANGEMENT OPPORTUNITY

 

Living Spaces is an exciting innovative retail furniture concept that offers same day delivery and the largest furniture selection in all of California. We have an aggressive growth plan that will offer solid performers opportunity for advancement as we roll out new stores.  We are currently looking for an Operations Manager.

 

The Operations Manager is responsible for all operations at a Living Spaces Furniture big box location, including receiving, customer pickup, and delivery functions. 

 

Responsibilities include

Ø Provides budgetary oversight; annual preparation, and monthly review

Ø Directly supervises department managers, which includes hires, reviews, promotes, mentors, terminates and utilizes merit based incentives for improved performances for our line managers

Ø Prepares monthly updates of store operations to executive team

Ø Active in succession planning and development and advancement of subordinates

Ø Provides labor management oversight by participation in the development and evaluation of labor standards

Ø Serves as mentor by setting ethical example for peers and subordinates; adherence to company policies and standards; 

Ø Accountability, advocacy, unity, support and reporting to/with; Sales, Operations, IT, Accounting, and Human Resources

 

Qualifications

Ø Minimum 2 years of (secondary education) College level

Ø 7 – 10 years in a senior level management role at a company at or above 150 MM with an employee base at or above 1000

Ø Past big box retail experience with companies such as Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Best Buy, Kohl's, etc

Ø Previous experience must include responsibility for creating budgets and P & L responsibility

Ø Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, internal and external constituents

Ø Should have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Ø Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands

Ø Flexible schedule with ability to work various retail hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays

Ø Position requires heavy lifting of up to 100lbs

Ø Bilingual Spanish (speaking and writing) is a plus
