Get the whole story As our Store Lead, you'll assist store management by effectively leading the store team to achieve the sales, customer service and profitability goals through effective product, people and service planning. Functional area to be determined by store management and business needs. Responsibilities for this position include: - Lead by example and ensure excellence in the execution of operational procedures, tasks, processes and merchandising - Ensure teams have an advanced understanding of product knowledge and facilitate additional training as needed - Assist the Department Manager in leading the team to deliver financial results - Create a positive and motivating work environment - Mentor associates to ensure customer service training principles are being utilized - Recognize product flow opportunities and partner with management and team members on process improvements - Partner with management to ensure that all visual directives, promotions, and markdowns are completed within guidelines and in a timely manner - Partner with management in planning and monitoring daily schedules Requirements for the position include: - Must have or be pursuing a High School diploma or GED - 2 years' of retail experience - Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office knowledge - Ability to perform basic math functions - Experience with multiline phones and 10-key - Ability to effectively communicate in English - Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time - Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed - Understanding of Retail Math is preferred - Knowledge of Nike product preferred To ensure that we continue to hire competent, ethical and trustworthy individuals, all candidates must successfully complete a thorough background investigation prior to receiving any final offer of employment from Nike.
