Unionbay Sportswear is seeking a Sr. Network Administrator at its Kent, WA location.

 

 

 

Summary of Job Responsibilities:



 

Responsible for the daily administrative activities associated with monitoring, reporting, and diagnosing any network issues; installation, configuration and maintenance of network systems and providing technical support to the customers. Responsible for the timely coordination, maintenance, installation, monitoring, analysis and expansion of the enterprise network, operating systems and corporate infrastructure.

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

1. Network

Design, configure, install, and maintain network components. This includes all hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.

 

2. System

Perform and oversee all daily system administration of the Windows operating system including file-systems, Exchange, backups, applications, Internet and Intranet sites, account and user maintenance, user set-up, upgrade and repairs on an as needed basis.

 

3. Maintenance

Preventative maintenance of Window servers and review of event logs to maintain maximum uptime of the network. Monitor system and network components through network analysis and make recommendations for system upgrades or updates as necessary.

 

4. Security

Perform project management and leadership for security, VPN, Exchange migration and other projects that are assigned.

 

5. Project Management

Provide project management for various IT installations and upgrades systems.

 

6. General

Install and maintain PC's, printers, and ancillary equipment as time allows.

Participate in the on-call rotation for 24/7 support

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Uses clear judgment to formulate opinions and recommendations relating to the network and system.

 

Recommends and implements solutions, procedures, and standards which are in alignment with the overall company goals.

 

Experience and Education

5+ years network administrator experience

MSCE or equivalent work exp.

CCNA or equivalent work exp.

Minimum 4 yrs exp. of hardware installation and maintenance. (switches, firewalls, routers, load balancers, layer 3 switching, etc)

Expertise in TCP/IP networking is required.

Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, DNS, and WINS.

Experience in corporate network security (installation and maintenance).

Experience in Windows server admin., MS exchange admin., and MS IIS admin.

Experience with Citrix.

Experience with Network management systems.

Oracle experience.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to work in a team environment.

Proficient time management and organizational skills.
