National Sales Manager

Early Childhood Resources Inc. (ECR) is a privately held wholesale distributor (including design and manufacturing) of consumer products geared primarily for the early learning and educational markets. We are headquartered in the Old Town area of San Diego with a satellite office in Mt. Laurel, NJ and have enjoyed significant growth. Our continued success depends on the talent, efforts and achievements of our exceptional employees. We are currently recruiting for a National Sales Manager.

 

Primary responsibilities:  In this role, you will be responsible for all sales and marketing functions across all product lines. You will have primary responsibility for the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan to drive profitable sales for this division.  You will also be expected to provide field analysis on key trends, competitive activity and general marketplace activity and thereby contribute to new product development. You will be required to attend trade shows, conferences and maintain direct contact with our current customers as well as develop new business. You will manage the sales and marketing staff as well as collaborate in the product development process.  You will report to the General Manager.

 

Requirements:

·      BS in Business, Marketing or other related field.

·      10+ years experience in sales management which includes experience with multi-year sales plans, margin calculations and costs associated with running a sales/marketing division.

·      10+ years experience in the school market preferable.

·      Proven ability to create/develop new business. 

·      Channel experience required.

·      Strong analytical and people skills

·      Some experience in the product development process.

·      Travel requirements are about 20% and might include International travel.
