We are a division of News Corporation, which is the parent company to Harper Collins Publishers, the Fox Television Network, and 20th Century Fox Studios among others. As a part of our field organization, we are currently seeking a career-oriented individual for a Field Management position.
The position is field based and the hired candidate will oversee field operational servicing of our SmartSource in-store product lines in grocery, drug and mass merchandise stores in Prince Georges, Howard, Charles, Saint Mary's, Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties.
Our SmartSource product lines include the SmartSource Coupon Machine that is found in Grocery and Drug Stores, ejecting coupons in front of the product. Our other SmartSource product lines include, advertising on the Grocery Carts, at the Shelf and on the Floor. Additionally, we also complete Merchandising project work on behalf of manufacturers or retailers including: resets, mystery shops, auditing, and product stickering. We install new advertising during one week in our network of retail stores, and then complete maintenance servicing the remaining 3 weeks of the month.
The AREA MANAGER is responsible for direct oversight of merchandisers who install and service Advertising and Merchandising programs in grocery, drug, convenience and mass merchandise outlets. The AREA MANAGER is responsible for hiring, training, and motivating the team, ensuring the team is successfully executing field programs and managing the reporting functions to ensure they are being done properly and in a timely manner. The incumbent manager is responsible for building and mobilizing a staff of in-store Merchandisers to complete and audit our servicing work.
College Degree or equivalent experience, off-site or multi-site management experience PREFERRED, Retail Experience preferred. Ability to relocate for future positions desirable. Our selection process will begin with a phone screening of all qualified candidates, and if recommended the candidate will meet with the hiring manager, go in-store to view our product lines, and speak with peer managers located throughout the United States. Our selection process is designed to give both the candidates and our organization the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the candidate/organization and discern compatibility.
