WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

The Category Manager - Health is responsible for directing our overall lower-body health merchandising effort, identifying and/or developing lower-body products that meet the health issues of our target audience, the strategic business positioning, profit margin, and product differentiation goals of the FootSmart catalog and FootSmart.com business units.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

· Strategic vendor selection, negotiating and corresponding line planning /editing.

· Product performance analysis, resulting in effective catalog pagination and website merchandising.

· Creative input to catalog and website production.

· Returns management analysis and implementation of returns reduction programs.

· Integration with Purchasing and Distribution functions to ensure optimum vendor logistics and performance.

· Cross functional communications between Purchasing, Creative and Internet Marketing.

 

Position Requirements:

· BA/BS Degree required, with 4-6 experience in merchandising or product development 

· MBA preferred

· Excellent project management and communication skills

· High enthusiasm, creativity and desire to work on an innovative team is essential

· Lower-body health product experience preferred, but not essential

· Strong Excel Skills and spreadsheet management

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment
