Manager of Merchandise Analysis

Ballard Designs, Inc. is a rapidly growing, highly profitable, multi-channel marketer of Home Décor.  We are looking for a “Superstarâ€� individual with the confidence and experience to make a meaningful impact on our business as the Manager of Merchandise Analysis.

 

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

 



§ “Spearhead� the development/management of the Merchandise Assortment Planning system

§ Analyze market and internal data to identify sales trends and opportunities.

§ Assist in the development of the seasonal Merchandise Assortment Plan including;

o  Reconciliation of the divisional and category bottoms up and top down plan

o  Forecast initial style dollar/unit projections 

o  Establish new product development goals by category

§Perform analysis to support product selection, catalog/web placement and promotion.

§Perform ad-hoc analysis to support merchandise planning and decision making.

§Liaison with Ohio Call Center facility to facilitate “new product� training, product support, customer service guidelines

§ Liaison with the Personalization Group at the Cornerstone warehouse, managing all samples.

§ Development and Managing a team of three employees.

§ Special projects as assigned.



 

Requirements:

Education:2-5 years experience and/or training in a retail or catalog environment4- year college degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or Math preferred
