Manager Trainee

Looking for an exciting opportunity in management?  Nebraska Book Company is looking for Manager Trainees to become familiar with how to run a college bookstore.  The Manager Trainee will allow you to receive up to 12 months of structured training with current store manager to include all areas of store functions. Training will include projects, goal setting, customer service and hands-on work in several departments to include supervision of others, with emphasis on our primary business, textbooks. The goal is the ability to be promoted as a manager at another location upon completion of training.  Relocation may also be  required to the training store.

We are looking for self motivated individuals with an analytical mind and strong problem solving skills. This job demands detail orientation, confidence and hands-on involvement along with a concern for customer service and relationship building within a campus setting.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred but two years Post-Secondary education plus 6 months or more related experience will be considered. . Computer knowledge of Microsoft products and internet software is necessary along with solid math ability.  An understanding of accounting, inventory procedures and the basics of human resources will be helpful.
