Purpose: The Manager, Strategy will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives as well as defining and managing strategic and operating planning processes. This will involve working with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy these processes. Key responsibilities will also include establishing a PMO (project management office) and ownership of the project portfolio prioritization. See Yourself: Develop and manage the strategic planning process for the business Develop and manage the operational processes for the business Help develop a PMO, and manage the portfolio prioritization process Help drive strategic, cross-functional projects Cultivate and manage relationships with senior executives in other parts of the corporation with which the Strategy Team collaborates in driving strategic business decisions (e.g., Merchandising, Marketing, and Guest Relationship Management). Secondary duties may include assisting the Strategy team in business development or special internal consulting projects.Job Requirements: Demonstrate a consistent ability to contribute thought leadership in areas of practical business management Demonstrate ability to address complex business challenges Demonstrate knowledge of leveraging consumer research to build strategies for competitive differentiation and growthExperience and Educational Requirements: MBA preferred Demonstrated experience of defining and managing business processes Good understanding of a PMO, and preferably experiencing managing a PMO. Experience as a client service provider in a recognized consulting firm or 4+ years in a relevant retail/consumer organization with clear progression Strong conceptual skills, including flexibility in approach to problem-solving and ability to push beyond the obvious to find innovative solutions Broad-based business acumen Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate highly complex findings to focus on the critical issues and actionable opportunities Track record of success in dealing effectively with complex projects entailing frequent interaction with senior executives Excellent sense for organizational dynamics, including ability to influence without formal authority Prior experience in retail, a consumer-oriented industry or operational role highly desirable Excellent communication skills Ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust and respect with peers, team members and executivesSee The Rewards Eligible team members will receive one of the best earnings packages anywhere, including competitive pay, all-around insurance coverage, 401(k), flexible scheduling, training and development and many other perks and benefits.
