Manager, Store Planning/Allocation

The Manager of Store Planning/Allocation is responsible for driving revenue growth and profit through creative and innovative management of store attributes and non comp location opening plans.  This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Allocation and Store Planning and has responsibility for store planning across all 5 retail concepts in Gymboree.  The position requires strong communication skills and an understanding of allocation, distribution and logistics.  The Manager of Store Planning interfaces regularly with many cross functional teams including Allocation, Merch Planning, Merchandising, DC and Store operations, Field Management, Real Estate and Finance.  In addition to core store planning responsibilities, the person in this role can play a key role in value add analysis, research and testing to identify new revenue/profit opportunity.

Job Requirements:


BA/BS degree or equivalent, ideally with 2-5 years of work/industry experience (retail, supply chain, etc.) The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high sense of ownership and accountability and an ability to drive strategy through cross-functional relationships.  Creativity and innovation within the context of analysis and statistical work is key along with advanced skill sets with Excel and retail merchandising and supply chain systems.  Attention to detail is a must with a demonstrated ability to naturally find efficiencies and prioritize.
