This position is responsible for the oversight, development, implementation and coordination of all human resources activities including compensation, benefits, and associate relations for the retail organization. Collaborates with Human Resources and Retail Development teams to develop and communicate policies and procedures for company owned stores.

Regular travel to retail stores throughout the US is required.

Specific responsibilities include: Partner with Retail management on strategy and organizational design for the retail organization. Benchmark where necessary. Provide sound counsel and advice to managers and team members regarding employee relations issues consistent with Tumi’s policies and procedures and all applicable employment laws. Conduct salary and benefits surveys to ascertain competitive salaries in markets in which we operate or intend to operate Tumi stores as well as establish retail and corporate salary benchmarks. Review internal pay equities and external market data, and make compensation program recommendations. Ensure all required federal and state harassment prevention training is delivered to all associates timely and documented as necessary. Implement performance management process for retail organization and ensure consistent execution at store level. Participate in succession planning and career development for retail associates. Manage the Tumi Training website including user ID set up and loading training materials.

Specific Requirements: Four-year college degree in Human Resources or related field 3-5 years of Human Resources in a Retail environment. Must have knowledge of sound human resources procedures and practices as well as knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Must have Retail HR experience in a corporate setting and interacting with multiple stores. Must be proficient in all aspects of associate relations. Must be able to interact with both corporate and retail management teams as well as associates at all levels.
