Position:     Manager of Business Analysts

 

Position Description:

The successful candidate will direct and manage a team of Business Analysts and/or their supporting processes to ensure the availability of information and solutions to meet customer expectations.  Additionally, the BA Manager will identify technical or business process solutions to meet business needs.

 

Essential Job Functions:

The primary responsibility for this position will be to manage a team of Business Analysts including:Administer all facets of personnel administration including hiring, performance management, resource allocation, and associate development.Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop high performance teams.Review program specifications, personnel requirements, and project schedules of major tasks submitted by project managers.Administer relevant budgeting and account management responsibilities.Ensure compliance to department standards as related to the Project Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle.Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding work, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.Maintain processes to comply with all regulatory compliance, legal requirements, and contractual agreements.Prepares for engagement and quality assurance reviews. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidates should possess:Bachelor’s degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an Information Systems position.Minimum of three (3) years experience managing associates and/or extended staff including contractors.Demonstrated hands-on business analyst experience.Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.Solid administrative and project management skills.Motivated self-starter; works well with minimal supervision.Proven IT and business solution leadership skills.

 

Bonus Skills:5-7 years experience as a Business AnalystActive involvement in the local IIBA chapter
