Maintenance Technician

Raymour &  Flanigan has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Technician to join their team in their new Distribution Center in Manchester, CT. This position carries multiple responsibilities including but limited to the overall maintenance of the facility's material handling equipment and facility repairs.

Job Duties:Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all material handling equipment in the distribution center. Maintains an organized maintenance schedule for all material handling equipment. Perform general facility maintenance duties throughout the distribution center. Sources external vendors for interior facility and material handling needs when necessary. Communicates effectively with overall Operations Team regarding the status of all relavant material handling equipment and facility issues

Qualifications:Candidates must have 3-5 years experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing material handling equipment such as forlifts and other lifts. Candidates must have basic knowledge of ac/dc electrical systems and hydraulic systems. Welding and fabrication skills preferred. Must be able to lift 70 lbs independently. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to embrace a team culture. Ability to work independently. Maintains a safe and organized work area. Must have strong leadership skills and attention to detail. Promotes a "safety first" attitude. In order to repair and maintain shelving/racking, candidate must be able to work at various heights. Available on-call for emergency situations.
