We currently have an opening in our Moonachie Delivery Center for a Furniture Assembly Associate. The Furniture Assembly Associate is responsible for pulling product from inventory and/or off loading trucks, and then preparing furniture for delivery. They ensure product condition by assembling, cleaning/waxing and at times performing light touch-up. Their passion for quality assurance, coupled with a commitment to customer satisfaction, contribute to Room & Board’s success building long-term customer relationships. Our Furniture Assembly Associates take great pride ensuring Room & Board furniture is delivered to our customers’ homes in perfect condition.   Our Furniture Assembly Associates come to us from a variety of backgrounds. However, they all enjoy working with their hands and with small power tools. Further, they have an appreciation of solid woods and other natural materials. They possess a strong sense of detail, good problem solving skills and enjoy work of a physical nature. Further they excel at building strong working relationships as an integral part of a distribution/delivery team. In order to serve our customer, this role may require early morning and occasional Saturday hours. Our Furniture Assembly Associates are paid a strong hourly wage that recognizes their contribution to the overall success of the delivery process. A pre-employment physical is necessary to ensure one is capable of handling the physical nature of the role. Room & Board provides a respectful work environment that rewards talent and commitment.
