Investigations Specialist This is an Hourly Position Provides crisis support Collects and communicates solutions to safeness related information Makes external & internal apprehensions Demonstrates store and market leadership Coaches and reviews team on knowledge of company tools and best practices Evaluates performance and gives feedback Coaches assets protection team members to accomplish their core roles Works closely with the Assets Protection and Store teams within the Group Acts as a representative with local law enforcement agencies. Ensure critical equipment, such as CCTV, is functioning properly. Gather, retain, and communicate safeness issues with appropriate market partners. Minimize the risk to guests, team members and self, during apprehensions by following all AP Directives. Make internal and external apprehensions. Demonstrate good judgment in apprehensions on situations. Collect and document theft and fraud intelligence; communicating intelligence with Investigations Team. Demonstrate store and market leadership Able to provide overnight AP leadership Support the shortage culture; understand how operational procedures impact shortage; avoid shortcuts and notify supervisors of any concerns. Cover safeness, theft and fraud topics with team members during store huddles. Provide a clean, safe shopping and working environment for our guests and team members. Build strong partnerships with law enforcement and community agencies who are involved with your market. Build strong partnerships across the store and influencing all team members to adopt the AP mission to expand the reach of the AP team. Train new team members through the use of company-sponsored programs. Report to work for all shifts, on time; return to work on time from all meals and break We’re looking for: High school graduate or equivalent Must be at least 18 year of age Two years investigative and/or retail store experience, Target experience preferred Good interpersonal skills Strong communication skills Strong interviewing skills Able to work with highly confidential information Able to apprehend and confront guests or team members in a calm, professional, and diplomatic manner Knowledge of all areas of Asset Protection, including internal investigations and the use of electronic detection equipment Knowledge of Target Information Systems Able to access and move around all areas of the store quickly and without attracting attention Able to climb ladders and access second floor observations booths Able to access all areas of the building to respond to safety issues Able to work in multiple stores within a market depending on business need Cheerful and helpful guest service skills Friendly and upbeat attitude See the rewards: Target merchandise discount Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Training and development Other perks & benefits See Yourself At Target: Employing more than 350,000 team members in 47 states, we value creativity, diversity and collaboration in all its forms.
