Headquartered in Miami, Florida, Starboard operates duty free and travel retail on 85 ships worldwide, representing major cruise lines. 

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for the scheduling and processing of physical inventories, preparing reports that detail the shortages and reasons for shortages, and partnering with other departments to ensure full compliance with company policies. 

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Completely and accurately reconcile ships physical inventories including scheduling the inventories, setting up the inventories, and finalizing the ships inventories.Prepare and distribute results of ships physical inventories including insights and detail analysis into possible causes of shrinkage.Prepare and distribute monthly inventory activity reports to include ship deliveries, transfers, RTV and any other transactions impacting the ships inventory balances.Review ship reports and analyze activity to ensure that all transactions are in line with expectations. Attend physical inventories onboard ships to ensure full compliance with policy and procedures and to assist District Mangers.Partner with other departments to implement new policies and educate everyone on the company’s policies and procedures.Analyze reports and cycle counts to better understand causes and to recommend procedural changes to better future cycle count results.Travel requirement 10%

 

 JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:

 Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access, Word and PowerPointProficiency in Financial and reporting software including, Navision, SAP, and MCSStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to thrive in a diverse, collaborative, team-oriented environmentStrong analytical and problem solving skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

 BS, BBA in Accounting or related field or commensurate experienceMinimum (2-3) years of retail accountingExperience in retail environment highly preferred
