Inventory Analyst
Do you have strong analytical ability? Are you able to make sound business decisions? Put your strengths to work as an Inventory Analyst in our Supply Chain team! This interactive role is a tactical position that assumes management of item forecasts and inventory requirements for a set of classes. As the Inventory Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and become a leader in vendor relationships. You will support and execute strategic inventory initiatives accordingly as well as meeting/exceeding set targets for Sales, Margins, Turns, In-Stocks and Net Operating Profit. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:· Create appropriate item level forecasts and inventory plans· Participate in the development and management of the class inventory plans that support the assortment and financial goals· Work with Senior Inventory Analyst/Inventory Manager on financial open-to-buy execution· Develop Item level Order plan, communicates order requirements to vendors, writes product Purchase Orders· Partner with Merchants to maximize inventory efficiency via the assortment optimization strategy· Manage weekly forecast exceptions and correct errors using best practices while utilizing the replenishment system· Align demand forecasts with promotions and inventory with promotions/advertisements· Analyze and measure promotional effectiveness; Promotional planning and analysis of key metrics· Provide input into the product selection, pricing and promotion for advertising vehicles · Assist merchants in product selection for future lifecycles, based on trend analysis and historical results· Investigate vendor issues and inventory opportunities for timely resolution· Manage inventory productivity throughout the product life cycle Preferred Education and/or Experience:· Undergraduate's' degree in any business discipline preferred· Ability to prioritize multiple activities; detail oriented· 1-3+ years Inventory Management experience preferred· Inventory/Merchandising/Supply Chain experience preferred· Project Management exposure required· Oracle Retek Systems preferred· Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access Take on new and exciting challenges in a role that will utilize your strengths.
