Interior Decorator

Job Purpose:

Produces interior designs by understanding function of the design and design characteristics; planning design concept; developing, illustrating, and revising design. Responsible from conception to delivery of product.Duties:

* Plans design assignment by studying client's request; understanding function of the design; preparing budgets. Responsible for vendor ordering and presence during delivery of product ordered.* Plans design concept by researching and analyzing desired design characteristics (through software supplied by company), such as, size, shape, weight, color, materials, ease of use, fit, cost, and safety; revising budget and obtaining approval to proceed.* Develops design by defining form, features, and attraction; exploring alternative designs; revising designs.* Illustrates design by preparing sketches by hand or by computer; constructing models.* Obtains approval of design by presenting and explaining sketches and models.* Prepares finished design by incorporating client revisions; creating detailed designs using drawings, models, computer simulations, or full-scale prototypes.* Ensures complete customer satisfaction from beginning of process to finality of process.* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Skills/Qualifications:

Developing Creative Standards, Photographic Skills, Desktop Publishing Skills, Desktop Publishing Tools,, Illustration Tools, Multimedia Content Development, Conceptual Skills, Web Savvy, openess to constant training and travel to sights where training is available.
