Candidates outside the Grand Rapids area, will be required to relocate.The individual selected for this position will support in the development of store standards, implementation of Industrial Engineer principles, and the maintenance of the corporate staffing database. Additionally, this position will report to Retail Operations and must have knowledge of store operations, staffing algorithms, and experience with installing efficiency improvements. Other duties include: *Create and maintain standards for all departments within the Meijer Chain * Education of labor concepts to field operators * Maintain StandardsPro database * Update standards for new/changed methods * Audit standards to determine conditions change * Assist Retail Operations with tasks associated to labor scheduling and standard development * Labor based ROI comparisons on anticipated business ventures or processes * Facilitate ongoing efficiency improvements   Ideal candidate must possess the following: *  Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering *  Understanding of standard development & validation *  Knowledge of productivity and utilization practices *  Knowledge of Windows, Excel and PowerPoint *  Proven leadership skills *  Excellent communication skills *  Interpersonal skills to deal with all level of the organization *  Proven ability and eagerness to learn new skill sets *  Proven understanding of statistics *  Knowledge and proven application of key Industrial Engineering principles, including but not limited to; standard development, workplace layout, and best method determination *  The ability to travel with overnight stays when necessary  If you have the experience described, log on to our website at www.joinmeijer.com and apply online.
