Inbound Warehouse Manager

A large company with a distribution center in Salt Lake City is looking for an Inbound Warehouse Manager.

The Inbound Manager will manage the day-to-day operation of the distribution center with an emphasis on receiving, processing, and put-away and on implementation of warehouse productivity plans. Responsibilities will include:Establishing tactical approaches to attaining facility objectives.Identifying, installing, and measuring specific improvements to methods, processes, and planning activities in order to boost productivity, improve service, reduce cycle times, and lower cost.Providing daily supervision of warehouse and temporary service personnel.Preparing various management, productivity, and financial analysis reports.Maintaining a flexible work schedule and adhering to the requirements of working any designated shift.Performing other duties as assigned.This position needs a true self-starter who can demonstrate strong leadership; work with the appropriate level of urgency; and utilize strong interpersonal skills to develop a team-oriented culture. In addition, Candidates must have the following education, experience, and skills:A college degree or five to ten years of related supervisory and management training in distribution operations.Experience performing various operational and financial analysis.Demonstrated ability to manage distribution center processes.Demonstrated knowledge of distribution, logistics, and supply chain operations in support of a retail environment.Demonstrated ability to build positive labor relations utilizing a collaborative, team oriented work style.Demonstrated project management skills.The ability to learn and utilize systems such as RF integrated Warehouse Management Systems, Labor Productivity Systems, and Order Tracking and Fulfillment Systems.Previous warehouse management system experience would be helpful; experience with Red Prairie DLx Warehouse Suite D and DLx Labor Management preferred.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.This is a full time, permanent position that pays in the range of $50K per year commensurate with experience.
