IMPORT/EXPORT COORDINATOR

Import /Export Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily activities within the international import operations, in a fast paced setting that primarily includes the resolution of issues with ocean carriers, forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure on-time delivery of Export and Import shipments.  Leads operations meetngs with Export team.    Key Tasks and Responsibilities Analyze daily carrier/ broker reports to ensure documentation completeness, on-time product flow and Distribution Center communication and develop action plans to address service related problems. Direct forwarders to hold or ship freight in various origins based on container utilization, ship calendar and in-DC dates Lead  meetings with Export Team and executes agreed upon operational/ reporting/ communication solutions and steps. Manages US Export Program: Manage and maintain export carrier allocations/ rate amendments Manage export country requests Troubleshoot vendor related issues Maintain export vendor guide Lead and participate in conference calls and meetings Manage reporting and on-hand   POM Import Flow and Systems Review Identify operational problems and escalate issues to MIS and P&A Accountable for monitoring and resolving exception reports directly impacting the timely movement of freight   Manage Daily Air Freight Operations Update air freight routing request form Monitor air freight tracking reports Troubleshoot vendor related issues Liaison with P&A, freight forwarders and APLL to ensure on time delivery Manage Air Freight Audit   Manage Daily Import Operations Monitor exams and holds Manage shipment diversions Non Asia shipment management Liaison with P&A and service providers to communicate and troubleshoot issues Manage and follow up on carrier exception reporting     Responsible for working with P&A/ Product Development and our service providers to create solutions for special programs, to ensure a seamless flow of product from origin to delivery,     Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Business Logistics and or equivalent work experience 1-2+ years experience in similar Operations, Analytical, and Transportation position Proficiency at an intermediate level in Microsoft software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Some experience in MS Access would be preferred. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
