 JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Fulfillment Center Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of fulfillment activity at every level in a rapidly growing environment.  In addition, the qualified candidate will have personnel responsibilities for 35 associates and 2 supervisors.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIESManage and develop a staff of 2 direct reports and a staff of 35 indirect reportsResponsible for all aspects of performance management including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and recognitionSchedule and monitor daily staff to ensure completion of all fulfillment activities in a timely and accurate manner.  Tasks include order fulfillment, transfers, returns, back orders, customer service issues, and inventory control.Identify opportunities for enhancements and efficiencies in fulfillment processes and product flow.Monitor, control, and report payroll costs Coordinate, supervise and reconcile cycle counts as well as annual physical inventoriesCommunicate and coordinate on a regular basis with our Shop at Home staff Maintain detailed statistics on various performance measurementsUnderstand and support E-Commerce goals, initiatives, and strategiesCreate environment of communication and collaborationUnderstand and support all safety policies.  Ensure safe work practices are followed and maintain a safe work environment JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree with a concentration in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business, or an industry-related fieldA minimum of five (5) years of distribution experience specifically in e-commerce/internet distribution, picking, packing, inventory control, and replenishmentMust have demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills and effective organizational skillsProven ability to manage people; train and motivate employees at all levels, as well as delegate effectivelyMust be computer literate; experience with Commercial Ware software preferred but not required.Must be able to function in a deadline driven environment
