Purpose As a Fabric Sourcing Planner, you will support overall strategic fabric planning & leveraging function.See Yourself: Strategic Fabric/Mill Planning & Management Working with local & overseas Sourcing & Fabric teams to facilitate mill & fabric planningAssisting in the development of multi-year & seasonal fabric/yarn projections using historical data & Merchant financial & assortment plansCoordinating & facilitating monthly fabric planning meetings with Sr Product Managers, led by the Sr Fabric Sourcing Manager, to direct fabric volume projections by department & divisionIdentifying new fabrics to add the standard fabric menu based on response to company growth trendsProviding recommended projections to Sr Fabric Sourcing ManagerCommunicating fabric strategy, goals & projections to the overseas teams, mills & vendorsCoordinating fabric projections across divisions & communicating to Sr Fabric Sourcing Manager, to enable the leverage model and achieve resulting benefitsTracking and reconciling fabric projections against actual bookings to monitor utilization, planning effectiveness and improve future projectionsIdentifying and communicating overall volumes of consolidated fabrics across divisions, departments and brand, direct to mills/vendorsTracking on-going level of commitments to a mill overall by specific fabric, across departments & divisionsLead Fabric/Mill Analysis & Reporting Directing Sr Product Managers in their fabric & mill planning, forecasting & booking by utilizing monthly fabric reporting & analysis by department/division/fabric/millMonitoring & reporting on variances between mill plans & actual bookings & provide direction to the Sr Product Managers on how to balance future bookings against the plansTracking historical fabric & mill data to utilize in strategy developmentReporting fabric growth trends to Sr Fabric Sourcing ManagerProviding support to the Sr Fabric Sourcing Manager on various projects & research as neededWorking Relationships Reporting to Sr Fabric Sourcing Manager - SoftlinesDeveloping strong, credible working relationships with Sr Product Managers, Product Managers, Technical & Fabric teams, Mills, Overseas TSS team & VendorsSupporting and educating the TSS team on the Fabric planning & management processConsulting with Sr Product Manager on vendor production reservations & vendor planning as necessaryAdditional Duties Providing advice on system development and Best Methods/processes to support Strategic Sourcing InitiativesIdentifying opportunities for process improvements/changes within Fabric PlanningIdentifying and participating in training and development designed to improve professional skills and personal growthOther projects as assignedReporting/Working Relationships: Reports to Sr Fabric Sourcing Manager - SoftlinesInternal and External PartnershipsTSS Sr Product ManagersTSS Product ManagersBCE teamTSS OperationsGlobal OperationsFabric teamLogistics/TransportationOverseas offices, mills and vendorsJob Requirements Minimum Requirements: BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experienceSupervisory experienceDemonstrated leadership skillsAbility to think strategically and conceptuallyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsService orientedStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsStrong analytical and financial skillsKnowledge of product developmentDesired Requirements: Manufacturing or mill planning experienceDegree in Business, Fashion, or related courses in merchandising and textiles3+ years experience in retail environmentWorldwide travel and overseas sourcing experienceTechnical product knowledgeExperience with Target systemsKnowledge of assortment planningUnderstanding of manufacturing processesAbility to multi-task/manage multiple projectsSee The Rewards Eligible team members will receive one of the best earnings packages anywhere, including competitive pay, all-around insurance coverage, 401(k), flexible scheduling, training and development and many other perks and benefits.
