Discover for yourself how far this DOLLAR can take you!Summary of Position (Job Purpose) Responsible for the proper accounting (book and tax) treatment and reporting for fixed assets. Responsible for reporting budget versus actual results for fixed assets on a monthly basis.Principal Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the proper set-up of fixed assets in the asset management system in Lawson. Perform monthly and annual asset management system closing process (depreciation calculation). Create and maintain fixed asset capitalization policies and procedures. Prepare annual budget in areas of responsibility, and provide monthly budget versus actual reporting. Responsible for asset disposals/retirements and gain/loss on sale calculations. Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations for fixed assets. Act as primary contact for internal and external auditors in fixed assets related matters. Communicate monthly with Information Systems and Real Estate/Operations to ensure proper accounting treatment for IS equipment/projects and construction assets. Properly capitalize software development costs. Assist with other projects as necessary. Supervise a fixed assets associate. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in accounting or an equivalent discipline. 3-5 years accounting and fixed assets experience. Strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with queries (Showcase) and in Microsoft Excel. Ability to work well with deadlines and reprioritize work assignments as needed.
