They form the foundation of our SUPERVALU Advantage - the key to our continuing success.TITLE:  Senior IT Architect  Work with peer Enterprise Info, Technical Architects, project managers and other subject matter experts.  Facilitate, lead and contribute to the delivery of project related Enterprise Architecture (EA) artifacts that delivers sound solution architecture supporting the business and non-functional requirements.  Ensure the appropriate usage of data sources and targets, metadata characteristics, and quality and infrastructure technology components that support and implement the capabilities dictated by the application architecture.  Contribute to the development & maintenance of Enterprise Application Portfolio Management.  Participate and contribute to EA Governance processes and Enterprise Software Development Standards Review Board.  Resolve and provide solutions to critical business service issues.  Provide mentorship to development teams.  Participate in development and ensuring vitality of software development methodologies.  Facilitate & lead design sessions.  Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes,  interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs. Research, evaluate and recommend enabling software design practices, trends, and related technologies.  Engage in prototyping and proof-of-concept activities that enhance decision making process and reduce overall risks.  Write, maintain and communicate enterprise standards on software development practices, best patterns & standards documentation to describe application development.  Lead and facilitate code review processes.            EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:     Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related degree. 5 years as Technical Architect, Software Engineer or relatedForeign education acceptable. REQUIRED SKILLS:            Ø      Waterfall and re-iterative software development life-cyclesØ      BEA WeblogicØ      EAI and PortalsØ      UML and Use Cases Ø      J2EE and .NET frameworks and patternsØ      EclipseØ      Use of Struts FrameworkØ      Design and development of  re-usable components, and Web ServicesØ      Experience in object oriented design and development Ø      XML and XSLTØ      Design Pattern Development Ø      Facilitation of design workshops and presentation OTHER:    Job Site: Eden Prairie, MN. 40 hours/week; $100,000/yr.        Equal Opportunity Employer Location: Eden Prairie 55344 Job Category: IT/Software Development
