Education Manager for Skincare Company
The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
• 3-5 years of management experience in a retail environment
• 3-5 years of training and development experience; certification preferred
• Superb classroom and facilitation skills
• Ability to align training to the strategic goals of their division
• Proven skills in the areas of needs assessment and program implementation and evaluation
• Practical experience with more than one training methodology (classroom, self-study, CBT, On-the-Job, etc.)
• 2 years (minimum) of responsibility for training budgets, 3-5 preferred; 1-2 years proven experience with project management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Strong analytical skills
• Experience with cosmetics and skincare lines
• Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Lotus Notes,PowerPoint, InDesign)
• Bachelor’s Degree required; MA/MS in Business, Education, Organizational Development is a plus.
Key Responsibilities include, but are limited to:
• Deliver training to exempt and non-exempt sales staff in the execution and delivery of various training programs including management and counter training
• Oversee training expenses for division including own budget plus direct/indirect training expenses in the stores
• Administer training and counseling. Research and recommend other developmental programs
• Monitor quality and quantity of all training in the division--classroom and in-store--to ensure payback for the training. This includes training managers and assistants in how to coach and follow-up on training.
• Partner with sales managers to identify training deficiencies that are impacting service, sales and/or profits. Recommend solutions to these opportunities
• Provide training/development needed by Corporate
• When conducting implementation programs, serve as a liaison between stores and Corporate in identifying issues and concerns that need correcting.
