Distribution Center Manager

Experience: My client is looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in distribution center management. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. The qualified candidate will have good communication and coaching skills. Additionally, this person should be proficient with Microsoft applications. The candidate should also feel comfortable managing the performance of 40-60 individuals and 2-3 team leads. Description: The hired applicant will be responsible for the production and well being of 40-60 team members and 2-3 team leads on the 2nd shift. This position reports directly to the Shift Operations Manager. The hired applicant will be responsible for managing production in a 500K Sq Ft facility running their respective department in a non-union environment. They will be responsible for creating a self-motivated, self-empowered work environment, where people enjoy coming in every day. At the same time, the successful candidate will be able to take direction from the Operations Manager and run in the intended direction without being micro-managed.
