Position Overview:
Director of HR is responsible for leading the HR function for Generalist team at corporate offices and remote locations. This role will design and implement plans aligned with leadership strategy, representing the HR function. The Human Resources Director will have oversight of organizational development, management development, compliance, performance management and team member relations.

Essential Functions:
Principle Accountabilities & Authorities:
Responsibilities include managing all aspects of HR: employee relations, worker's compensation, best practice administration, performance management and Affirmative Action/EEO.
Leads and manages Generalist team and function for all 3 facilities (Eden Prairie, and Brooklyn Center MN and Bowling Green, KY Distribution facility).
Project management and hands-on development and delivery of corporate objectives, succession planning, career path and competency models.
Provides Human Resources thought leadership and partners with managers throughout the business.
Provides coaching to team members and managers; supports teams and HR strategy within each function.
Ownership of recruiting for remote facilities; partners with Talent Management team on function oversight.
Responsible for compliance related business needs: Training and policy certification / recertification.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources / Industrial Relations, or related field.
Experience:5-7 Years HR Generalist experience required.Previous experience in a Sr. Manager or HR Director role (with a public company preferred).Strong leadership and project management skills to drive programs and influence change.Experience in organization effectiveness, leadership and cultural development, talent management/retention strategies and compensation.Previous experience in a product, service, retail or home shopping preferred.PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Physical Activity:
Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work. Those activities, which demand detailed or important instructions spoken to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40-db loss. Ability to receive oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.

Walking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
